General entry into the virtual 2021 Virgin Money London Marathon on Sunday 3 October is now sold out. The only way to be a part of the world’s biggest-ever marathon is to secure one of our charity places.

Take on the virtual Virgin Money London Marathon for #TeamFHC and help us make 2021 a better year for our NHS staff, patients and volunteers. Be part of the bucket list London Marathon race by completing the 26.2 miles marathon distance on Sunday 3 October 2021. You can do it from home, or wherever you are on a course of your choice.

With 24 hours to do the full distance, you can take as long as you need to complete it. You can stop and start as you need to throughout the time, or walk it all in one go, it’s up to you! All finishers will receive their running numbers before the event and their coveted official finisher medal and T-shirt post event, so we’re calling on you to join our team and help raise vital funds for your local NHS.

We only have limited charity places for this event so we are inviting you to make an application for a charity place and we will get back to you to let you know if you have been successful. By joining TEAM FHC for the virtual Virgin Money London Marathon you will get our incredible fundraising support, training advice plus a free Frimley Health Charity running top.

Before you apply, here’s what you need to know

We ask all charity place runners to pay a £10 registration fee and commit to the minimum fundraising target of £250.
We get 3 applications on average for every place we have. We give places based on the quality of your application, especially the reasons you want to run for us and how you’ll reach the fundraising target. We don’t give places on a first-come first saved basis.
We only accept individual applications.
Registration fees are non-refundable. We are only able to provide a refund of the £10 registration fee if you are unsuccessful in your application for the virtual Virgin Money London Marathon.

If you were lucky enough to get a place in the 2021 Virtual Virgin Money London Marathon ballot, we’d love to have you on #TeamFHC! As an own place runner there is no minimum fundraising target, we just ask that you raise what you can.

On Sunday 3 October 2021, 50,000 runners will have the chance to be a part of the biggest marathon ever staged anywhere in the world.

The virtual Virgin Money London Marathon will return this year, giving participants the opportunity to take on the world’s greatest marathon on the course of their choice, wherever they are on the planet. Runners in the virtual event will join a record 50,000 participants who will run the traditional Virgin Money London Marathon from Blackheath to The Mall.

The virtual Virgin Money London Marathon was held for the first time in 2020, when more than 37,000 runners, from all corners of the world, completed the race. The final finishing total of 37,966 means it has been awarded an official Guinness World Records title for the ‘Most users to run a remote marathon in 24 hours’.

The Official Virgin Money London Marathon App, powered by TCS, will enable participants to log their 26.2 miles and earn their coveted medal and New Balance finisher T-shirt.

As well as allowing them to track and log their run, the app will help bring the virtual experience to life, with an exclusive audio commentary featuring famous voices providing a memorable soundtrack to the day.
